Lift Maintenance Mechanics Helper-2025

Department: Lift Maintenance
Location: Gilford, NH

Gunstock Mountain Resort is looking for a service-oriented Lift Maintenance Mechanic Helper to join our Mountain Operations team. As a Lift Maintenance Mechanic Helper you will work with a team of technicians to ensure the continual repair, maintenance, and safe operation of Gunstock’s aerial and surface lifts as well as the Mountain Coaster.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of various parts of the lifts, including sheaves, grips, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Assist in performing maintenance to motors, both electric and fossil fuel.
  • Assist in maintenance of hydraulic systems and work on low voltage controls.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18+ years of age or older; high school or general equivalency required.
  • Lift Operation and/or maintenance experience preferred, with strong working knowledge of mechanical, structural, and electrical engineering principles as they pertain to the maintenance and operation of aerial and surface lifts.
  • Knowledge of ANSI B77 regulations pertaining to the safety requirements for aerial passenger tramways, aerial lifts, surface lifts and tows, as established in the American National Safety Standards is preferred.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain stationary 30% of the time, constantly able to control switches, hand tools, power tools, vehicles, machinery and equipment used for general lift and coaster maintenance. Required to move parts, equipment, and materials weighing up to 25lbs regularly, up to 50lbs frequently. Must be able to work with solvents, greases, oils, and fuels related to lift maintenance. Must be able to work in variable outdoor conditions.

Scheduling/Pay:

  • The starting pay is $18+, depending on experience.
  • The Lift Maintenance team works 8–10-hour shifts with an average of 40 hours per week.
