Gunstock is now accepting applications for Repair Shop Technicians to assist in repair shop services such as waxing, grinding, answering questions, and misc. repairs of both skis and snowboards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs preseason ski binding testing procedures, as well as midseason and post incident documentation on all rental equipment.
• Adjusts and calibrates boots to bindings.
• Must be competent in all aspects of snowboard and ski tuning and repair.
• Knowledge of ski edger and belt grinder and their use as well as small power tools and hand tools.
• Wax, scrape, base repair, detuning etc.
• Providing customer service consistent with Gunstock expectations.
• Knowledge of wax for various temperatures.
• Work to ensure a quality recreation experience for guests visiting the Area. Make every attempt to understand and meet the needs of current as well as potential guests. Assists with resolution of any guest related concerns or problems.

Other requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position for 70 % of the time; must be able to operate small power equipment and hand tools; The employee must occassionally ascend/descend stairs and/or ladders. The employee must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to inspect work performed for accuracy and determine what needs to be done on equipment coming in for repair.
