Terrain Park Attendants are responsible for the construction and maintenance of all Terrain Park features. It is a labor-intensive job that requires staff to rake, shovel, lift, ski/ride and perform other physical labor. The daily responsibilities of the park crew include but are not limited to opening and closing terrain parks, inspections of Terrain Park features, ensuring signage and fencing are installed and in their proper location. It is the park crew's responsibility to educate and inform guests of terrain park etiquette and help provide them with the best experience possible.
Duties:
Raking and shoveling of snow features -multiple times per day
Inspection and maintenance of all Terrain Park features
Educating guests on Terrain Park safety and etiquette
Building and repairing rails, boxes, jibs, etc.
Installing/ removal of fences, signs, tents, and banners etc. for events
Fence/barrier maintenance; trash and snow removal
Install and maintain park closures and signage
Facility cleaning duties at least once per week
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be 18 or older
Ability to ski and ride safely while holding tools, Freestyle experience is preferred but not required.
Strong Communication skills. (The use of a communication radio is mandatory)
Ability to regularly move up to 25lbs, frequently move up to 50lbs, occasionally move up to 75lbs
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, for 8+ hours per day
Ability to ski/ride outside in all weather conditions, for 8+ hours per day
Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to work with power tools (cordless drills, grinders etc.)
Ability to work with shovels, rakes, and other hand tools
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, co-workers, and guests.
Scheduling:
This potion has Full-time & Part-time seasonal openings (November-March) and requires 20-40 hours per week during winter operations. During peak operational periods Gunstock is open to the public 7 days/week with weekends being our busiest times. While we offer alternative flexible scheduling, this position does require weekend and holiday availability.
