Gunstock Mountain Resort is looking for Hosts for the Powder Keg and Barrel Restaurants. The Hosts will serve an important role in establishing a pleasant dining experience for guests.They will support and work as a partner to restaurant servers, by constantly monitoring, guiding and controlling the flow of guests into the dining room, based on timing and level business, so that they are seated in a manner that complements each server’s ability to properly attend to them.

The Host will assign guests to tables suitable for the size of each group, escort them to their seats and provide them with menus. They will inspect dining and serving areas to ensure proper setup and cleanliness and may assist customers in answering questions. They may further assist by handling monetary transactions, and are responsible for maintaining Gunstock’s standards for guest service, cleanliness and sanitation at all times.

Required:

• Sufficient exposure to a food service environment.
• Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate with others.
• Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a high stress, fast paced environment
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
