Rentals Reservation Specialist- Winter 2025/26

Department: Admissions
Location: Gilford, NH

This position assists guests with equipment rentals check-in and works to provide an efficient, informative, and service-oriented environment. This position requires exceptional guest service skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Also assists with ski and snowboard boot fittings, as needed. This position is for 2+ shifts per week, shift hours are either from mountain opening (around 7:30/8am)-1pm, or 3pm-6pm.

General Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and complete the sale of skiing/snowboarding equipment rentals in the Gunstock Rental Shop; assist guests with equipment assignments by asking relevant questions to confirm reservation details based on the guest’s ability and instruction needs.
  • Process transactions on computerized ticketing and POS procedures, including but not limited to: issue receipts and tickets to guests, issues credit to customers for cancellations and returns.
  • Review rental agreement terms and conditions with guests at the point of sale with clarity and accuracy.
  • Issue equipment such as helmets, ski and snowboard boots, and poles based on guest information and feedback during fittings.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED): or one to three months related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education an experience. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in POS systems required. Strong typing abilities preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as rental contracts, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; communicate effectively before groups of guests or employees.
